The lawyers at Williams, Moliterno & Scully Co., L.P.A. blend their diverse talents to handle a wide range of civil litigation. The firm has an active insurance defense practice, wherein it represents virtually every major property and casualty insurance carrier in the country. We also represent several self-insured corporations such as Toys "R" Us, and Giant Eagle, Inc. In addition, our lawyers actively represent businesses and individuals in various civil trial matters.
The firm also handles a large volume of appellate work. This includes evaluating and litigating appeals, preparing post trial motions, as well as briefing and arguing before various Courts of Appeals in Ohio. Several members of our firm have appeared before the Ohio Supreme Court.
Our case handling philosophy is simple. The client, after consultation with the firm, chooses the lawyer in the firm best suited to handle each individual case. We investigate and evaluate cases rapidly and accurately. We attempt to resolve cases on a fair and equitable basis, as soon as possible, with minimal expense to our clients. We are not litigators, but truly trial lawyers. If a fair and equitable settlement cannot be reached, we are ready, willing and able to take a matter to trial. OUR HISTORY
In 1993, in recognition of the changing environment in the area of insurance defense, Williams, Moliterno & Scully was initially founded in Hudson, Ohio.
The purpose of the founding of the firm was to provide efficient and quality representation to individuals, businesses and insurance carriers throughout the region and the nation.
In October of 1995, Louis R. Moliterno joined the firm, and has been with the firm on a continuous basis since that time.
In 1997, the firm moved from Hudson to its current location in Twinsburg, Ohio. Given the firm's central location, which is equidistant to Cleveland and Akron, our attorneys are able to routinely travel throughout the State of Ohio, having good quality access to the Ohio Turnpike, Interstate 480 and all other major interstates radiating from both the Cleveland and Akron.
William F. Scully Jr. joined the firm as a partner in April of 1998, and brought to the firm at that time over 24 years of legal experience.
Partners Joseph H. Wantz and Kelly N. Grigsby both joined the firm in the year 2000. Kelly had previously served as staff attorney for Judge Lillian Greene, who is currently a member of the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court bench. Joe Wantz brought to the firm a wealth of experience in the area of uninsured/underinsured motorist law, having practiced before the Ohio Supreme Court on numerous occasions in that regard.
Partner Perrin I. Sah joined the firm in May of 2003, following his employment as house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. Needless to say, he brought with him a wealth of trial experience.
Phillip C. Kosla joined the firm in August of 2003, followed by Ian Luschin and Joshua Angelotta.
In October of 2007, partners Kelly N. Grigsby and Perrin I. Sah were recognized at a Cleveland Bar Association reception in their capacity as minority partners/shareholders.
We have maintained the firm at a very manageable size so that we do not lose our ability to represent all of our clients, with an emphasis on individual attention. We recognize the need to provide high quality legal representation in an environment which recognizes efficient billing practices without sacrificing that quality representation.
